Is my suspect or aromatics burns at higher temperatures than other tobaccos?

yeah and they're packed wetter often not just because of the topping but to preserve the topping. I need to dry them out but for some they really lose a ton of the topping others not as much. By the way the topping is literally topping it is on the outer part of the leaf where as casing soaks in. So it's the first thing to dry out and way more susceptible to disappearing entirely. But like packing lighter and sipping not puffing also cools them down.

You can get a shag cut just as easily overheated as you can any aromatic. Like anything else, it's how you approach it.
every type of tobacco acts somewhat differently. I find shags for me behave better if I cram them into the pipe. Though they don't always burn evenly. Like it will burn a tunnel down into the chamber but it's easy to tamp the rest down.

If it tunnels, slow down. Moist shag never does that to me, but dry shag like Five Brothers will sometimes do that to me. If I slow down more it usually evens out.

The tongue bite with aromatics, almost always comes from smoking too fast, which creates excessive steam; as most aromatics come really moist.
The key is to fight the urge to smoke fast and deep (a natural inclination to try to obtain more of the flavor).
There’s a reason aromatics outsell every other blend type; they are pleasant smelling, and offer great flavor essences.
I’ve almost entirely given up aros, and switched to English blends a long time ago. But occasionally will light up a bowl of Seven Seas with some RLP-6 cut in.
