There was a fella on here that made a blend called Winter Solstice which was just delightful. Right now I am having a hard time remembering their forum tag / name. If anyone else remembers or currently has this in this rotation please post the blenders info as to credit them for this blend. This was an extremely nice aro / latakia cross-over and I believe in my opinion that it would be right up your alley. Also as others have stated, Cellar Reserve is phenomenal and a true aro / latakia cross-over in my opinion.

Yes, I heard about that one. Jack Lee was the blender, I believe. I found a Facebook page, but nowhere to order online...
Tewksbury has a blend called Nosferatu, which mixes a licorice/anise casing with the latakia.
I wish I had known about this a few weeks ago - sounds perfect for Halloween.

C&D has a cople that I smoke on a regular basis; USS Mason is a lat blend with brandy infusion and Two Friends English Chocolate. The cocao in EC is just a hint, you know it's there but it does not overwhelm the blend.

I just remembered that C&D's Christmas blend- Chestnuts Roasting- is an aro with some latakia. I found it quite enjoyable and understand that they will be offering again this holiday season.

No problem. Glad to help. I like a few of their blends. Halfling's leaf and summer sangria in particular.

There's a current discussion on an Iwan Ries tobacco discussion. I checked out their website, and under the Three Star blends they have a couple aros with latakia. I really like latakia myself. And I like aros too. So my question is this... Wouldn't it be easier just to order a tin of latakia and add a pinch to your favorite aros?

Anthony, sure, give it a shot. But, my experience with just adding stuff didn't turn out quite a delectable as I had hoped. But, maybe you have a gift for it. Try it out.
Also Swamp Flower is an English GQ Blend that can be shipped. It combines perique, latakia, lakeland geranium essence, Turkish, Orientals, Kentucky, and Va, and the kitchen sink, LOL. Glynn Quelch is Mr. Tobacco on Youtube, and is quite entertaining to watch.

I don't recommend the Swamp Flower though, unless you are just in love with that English lakeland taste

I'd like to second the H&H mazatec. The smokiness of the latakia with the vanilla aro notes tastes like roasted marshmallows. Great English-Aro transition blend.

I looked up Mazatec, and it sounds a lot like JFH's Shortcut to Mushrooms - I really enjoy that blend, it's just a little one dimensional for me. Can't beat the H&H bulk price, either...
