My standby is Lane's 1-Q. I actually had a random passerby at a music festival call out to me "Your pipe smells [expletive] delicious!" while smoking it. :D
I've been meaning to try some of the other Lane offerings that I've heard are also lovely, but the 1-Q is easy to come by at my local B&M...

As a mostly English/Balkan smoker I do enjoy an aromatic from time to time. Here are my go to aromatics:
Trout Stream

Lane - 1Q

Russ Ouellette - Warm Up

Tewksburry & Co. - Hobbits Weed

Peter Stokkebye - Golden Dansk

Until I tried Mac Baren's Vanilla Cream I would never have believed you could smoke a tasty crowd pleaser that actually lets the tobacco flavor come through. No bad aftertaste either.
In fact I'm now including an aro in my rotaion as well!
Current rotation:
Peterson's Irish Oak

Peterson's Irish Flake

Comoy's Cask No. 7

Obester Vanilla (Hungarian OTC)

Peterson's Sherlock Holmes (still unsure if I really like it)
In the cellar I've got some interesting aros awaiting their turn: Mac Baren's Cube Silver, Mac Baren's Mellow Choice and Alsbo Black, mmmmmmmmmmmm just can't wait!

My ex recently sent me samples from this B&M blender. I found his website. His aro blends are amazing. I would highly recommend the Royal Poinciana for a first time aro. It is chocolatey with a nice tobacco taste as well.
I just ordered a half pound of his 'best cellar' Indian River Gold, along with some smaller amounts of other offerings.

"Plus, the kids don't go to school smelling like they were at an all night poker game."
LOL! Hey, they gotta come up with their lunch money somehow!

Lane's 1Q

Peterson's Nutty Cut

Mac Baren's Vanilla Cream Flake

Lane's RLP-6

CAO's Moontrance
Then there's some crossover blends like Frog Morton's Cellar, and Mac Baren's Plumcake. GL Pease has one too that's an English blend with a top dressing, forget the name though.

Unless I missed it, the OP didn't mention if he had a aro taste/smell preference and/or what he dislikes... Maple, rum, vanilla....? It would be easier to make a recommendation if we knew that, No? Just a thought.
And while Pipe Works & Wilke is noted for some very fine aromatics, when researching the P&W No. 5, I'm still at a loss as to what its flavor/topping/casing component is. Their website is of little help and TR.com isn't much

better.
