Neither. I won't by a pipe I haven't fondled and examined. The tobacco package? It arrives when it arrives. No sense getting emotional about it, won't arrive any sooner.
Do you play the Scots war pipes? Seems to be enough pipers on this site to form a band. Not that many drummers though.

That's a good point about the fondling. I've been one to exhaust a company's pipe return policy. Far more people fondle at the shop and then put it down than those who order one, get it, fondle it, and then mail it back.
Currently, only excited when surrounded by a legion of naked Scandinavian ladies. Which means, I haven't been excited for some time.
I don't get excited very often, but when I do it usually involves my wife or the last two minutes of a Browns game.... wait, that's agitated.
Neither. Much of my shopping is done online to avoid socializing in stores so getting a package is just another shopping day.
Must be more places that sale pipes were you guy live.

Probably I'm more excited about a pipe because I'm likely to pack it and smoke it in the very near future. Although I enjoy receiving tobacco, I can sometimes have a tin around for years before I smoke it, while I finish up so many others I already have. I rarely pop a tin in the month it arrives.
Have one about a hour away they might have a hand full of pipes not many.
Not at all. Decades of smoking and years of seeing pipes on forums just has had a desensitizing effect. Overexposure I suppose.
Always tobacco for me as I’m on the hunt for Goldie Locks blends so I can stockpile , learning more about pipes but already know what I like and dislike aesthetics aside I just like good smokers…

Pipes. Tobacco blends are like women. Most disappoint and are never as good as I hope.
I'm not sure I could get more excited.

The pipe is just a tool for delivering nicotine and watching your moneys, the tobacco, burn and waft to the ceiling. Nothing to get excited about. Youngster do get excited about a new car and such. So,m whatever sets your boat afloat.
I get most excited when old tobacco or pipes turn up
