I'm aspiring to be both. I only smoked a handful of times over the last couple of years until just recently, now I smoke a bowl a several times a week. Since May I went from two pipes to six and 1 tobacco to 10 blends and counting. I'm still getting a feel for what blends I like, so every payday I buy a couple tins of something different, as it's the cheaper of the two to "collect" (hard to say about a consumable, but at the rate I smoke I'll wind up with an impromptu cellar). I love looking at pipes and thinking about / discovering shapes that are appealing. I've starting following various artists through SP and IG and keep a log of interesting pipes and tobaccos I'd like to try on Milanote. I can't afford to commission pipes, so I look at estate pipes quite often. There are what seem like up and coming artists creating really intriguing work that don't charge a mortgage, but I'm not there yet either, so I just drool over them for now.
