I found these two pipes for auction on ebay:
1. The guy says it's a rejected savinelli:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SAVINELLI-PRODUCT-S-FIAMMATA-STRAIGHT-GRAIN-RED-SMOOTH-REJECT-OF-HIGHEST-GRADE/172536223622?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140620091118%26meid%3D9fee7e9fdcf544ba899dff11edf2b76b%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D381975682178
2. Same seller, says it's a unmarketed moretti:

I am not an expert on this, so I am turning to you guys for help. Are these pipes hidden gems or trash? And would it even be worth it to add it to my collection for the sake of unique-ness?

They look OK, very possible the seller is correct. I don't understand the Moretti, it is marked. I don't think either is very valuable or collectible, but both may be nice pipes if you can get them at a decent price. They shouldn't go too high IMO.

It sure is!

I'd guess the value is in between the extremes mentioned!

Yes, it is un-MARKETED but it is marked. So there isn't a valuation I can reference to... for both these pipes. Which leads me to ask ... how much should i pay for these pipes, max?
I know moretti can go from 100-200+, and savinelli high grades are much more (if what the seller claims for the pipe is true). What do you guys think would be a fair price to grab these? They do seem like a nice pipes to smoke with

Hello Fellow Pipe Smokers,

This is my first post, and already I have a question.

How do I join the Tobacco of the Month Club? My son gave

it to me as a Christmas present a couple of years ago, and

I loved the variety it offered. Is there a place I can

write to?

Thanks!

The Rev

I would point out that the first pipe, the "highest grade" savinelli is covered in fills!

Wonder if it was refinished. It would be ever so nice if all the photos were exposed properly. Looks like some very large fills, as well as a lot of them.
