Try some King's Oriental from Iwan Ries, it has a distinct clove taste:

I can't believe I haven't comment on this yet...
Check it out my little leprechauns ---- Just For Him - Clove

It's allready been done baby. 8)
Haven't tried any YET. But JFH stands behind it so it's worth a shot. Post up a quick review if you've had the clove cigs. Let us know how it stands up!
Peace Clovers.

Hi all,
Just giving you my 2 cents, being from Indonesia - the origins of "kretek", so far cloves are safe to smoke, whether for cigs, as well as for pipe smoke.
I just made my own blend, small bits of fresh virginia and handful of crushed cloves to accompany tambolaka. Man oh man, this blend is goooood.

I smoked cloves in the late 80's until reports came out that they were very bad for the lungs. Blistering or something to that affect. They burn pretty hot.

Some tests came out quite a few years ago that said smoking cloves could cause cancer. It was determined to be a bigger risk than regular tobacco.

I'll pass. Tried clove cigs many years ago. It burned the bejeebers out of my lungs.

Yesterday I smoked some Nosferatu by Tewksbury. It definitely reminded me of clove cigarettes (from back in the 80's). I guess it is the hint of anise in the blend that imparts that flavor. One thing is for sure it will ghost any briar you smoke it in. I smoked it in a meer to try and avoid the ghosting. Hell it ghosted my tongue! Almost 24 hours later I could still taste Nosferatu and I look forward to the next bowl! I would suggest Nosferatu over adding cloves to your baccy, not to mention the great reviews it has received.

Yes you can smoke cloves. They taste damn good. You mix in only a little into the tobacco though and I'd say only have one pipe for it. I personally do this.
