Ardors

I try to have a good mix in my collection…. And I rarely buy a new pipe. Maybe I’ve been fortunate, but estates have worked out really well for me. So, I don’t have an Ardor in my collection and there are some really nice looking ones on eBay right now. (I prefer ’buy it now’)
what do my esteemed (and reprobate) friends think?

I love the Ador my wife bought me. Great looking blast with a beautiful contrast stem. It smokes fantastic and feels great in my hand. Definitely more than I would normally spend on a pipe, but if she bought another one I wouldn't get mad.

If one catches your eye, snatch it up. Ardor is a fine pipe. I have one that I smoke as often as I can. Its one of my best smokers.

Ardor makes a good pipe and if the price is right go for it.

One of the best smoking (and very well done in all respects) pipes I have is an Ardor. That's saying alot (maybe) because I have collected mostly smaller shop artisan pipes. Got it from Steve Monjour 20+ years ago. And, I'm not old. Just been in the hobby for a while. The ardor smokes better than some of the smaller shop artisans.

I'd buy a new Ardor in a heartbeat if I needed more pipes. And if I purchased estates I'd not hesitate.

I own ten Ardors. Great smokers that are in the very top tier of what is made today.

Excellent pipes. They do tend to run a bit large, but that might be your sweet spot. I have had a number over the years but have now migrated to smaller pipes. A bit less expensive than Castello and a bit more expensive than Radice.
