In the 3rd photo, that Calabash looking one, is that an army mount? I really like that one.

That is an Army mount, and a very light pipe that holds a lot of tobacco.

I did a little research and confirmed from a couple different sources that the two dots does, in fact, denote a higher grade pipe and it's not related to size. I have to confess that even though I've been collecting Ardors for several years now, this was the first time I've encountered a two-dot. I love learning new things!

I know that personally. It feels like that pain shortly after getting kicked in that general area, but like all day. Salivary Gland infections hurt more though. That felt like getting kicked in the jaw.

Here is one I Just picked up today.





It's an estate pipe and Smokingpipes has a sale for 20% off all estates. I've been eying it up for a couple of weeks and now with the sale, the price dropped below $150 and I couldn't pass it up.

An Ardor in really good/great shape for less than $150 is a great deal in my opinion.

A real stunner, python... The combination if dark amber stem, silver and blue mount just works great there! Nice mix of fun and tradition, IMO

I have two, and both are very good pipes. One is exceptional. Very reliable brand and I'd not hesitate buying more if I needed or wanted more pipes. I don't "need" more. The ones I have are more than adequate, many are marvelous...ie... really exceptional, and I have a dozen or so (maybe more) that I've never smoked. Waiting for a special occasion maybe. Went through the acquisition phase more than a decade ago and I think I'm all set. But from time to time...I do get tempted. It's silly....

My wife gifted me this one for Christmas. It's not one I would have picked out on my own because I'm not a huge fan of the spiral, but the color combination is right up my alley as are the dimensions and the bent apple shape.
