After a lifetime of farming and listening to stories from Dad and Grandpa I can tell you the media is the problem not the weather. Mother Nature can deal with what ever we throw at it. The planet has been hotter and a damn sight colder too with species lost and new ones forming and to suggest that “carbon” is the problem is laughable. Carbon is the building block of life, more carbon = more life it really is that simple. Ice ages lock up two things……….fresh water and carbon, warming is the counter to this. Our planet will continue this ebb and flow and humans might be the casualty, who knows! but life will flourish in warmer times that’s for certain.

We lost power Friday morning (for the third time this December) and during the high winds and heavy rains the rest of Friday and Saturday, our cellar flooded thanks to the lack of juice to run the sump pump, so when the power came back after 49 hours, our heat didn't. The furnace got flooded and is dead until we can get a repair guy to shake loose some hours to visit it.

Since when does Maine get heavy rains in December?

Just been reading about the arctic conditions that are affecting parts of the US. 28 people have died and they expect that number to rise. Up to 1.5M people lost power😲

I hope all the US lads on here are keeping safe & warm 👍
It's gotten warmer here. It's not in the negatives so going to go for a nice lunt soon. And mainly the wind isn't going like crazy.
