Pipesandcigars.com offers a sampler pack of all the blends. I almost ordered it but then got tobacco ADD and made some other choices instead. They are definitely on my list to try sometime in the near future. I cant remember where I read this but I have heard that the blends are blended my McClelland, so they have to be great, right?

Thanks MM for the sampler info over at PC, I have been holding back a TAD order for awhile, good reason to kick in with it and throw those blends in on the list
and if blended by McClelland then they DO have to be GREAT

If you manage to get your hands on them before I do, please let me know how they are. The Beagle and the Fox Hound blends are what originally drew me to the series, but I do enjoy a good aromatic as well.

Anybody that wants to trade, I think I have all of them. I didnt care for them much, but McClellands blends dont get along with me for the most part.

The 2 Hunters that I puff are the Fox Hound and the Beagle. I have the Fox Hound cellared since it got established as one of my standard breakfast Englishes. It tastes like it has some muted Orientals in it, but they don't present themselves in as forward a fashion as Pelican or Gordon Pym, or for that matter, Dunhill Mellow Standard. My first sample of Beagle was given to me by Erik at the Haverford PA Tinder Box. I'm still trying to decide where it fits among my VA/Pers.

Retriever is a mild smoke. I bought 2 tins on a whim and am glad I did. Just enjoyed 3 bowls today of retriever.

I'll re-order more of this one. The Nording Pointer is my next buy to try.

I have a tin of the Labrador blend and enjoy it. It is an aro with a caramel/hazelnut aroma and flavor. To me it seems to be similar to McClelland's Christmas spirit, but a little lighter in the aroma/taste department. The Hunter Series is blended by McClelland.
I find it to be very nice with a cup of coffee and just picked up another 2 tins for the cellar. I also have a tin of the Foxhound but have not opened it yet.... Gonna have to soon after reading this thread!

I tried the Beagle. It's OK but nothing special - more spicey than sweet. Maybe it will improve with some age.
