Title edited for caps and meaning.

I've been getting this weird feeling in my throat for the past couple of months, sort of like a pill in my throat mixed/getting choked up/being strangled (very, very lightly at that) and decided to take a trip to the ENT. After shoving a camera in my nose and then down my throat he told me I had globus sensation, which is a tightness of muscles around the esophagus/trachea. Not dangerous or deadly just uncomfortable. I've noticed that when I drink any caffeine or consume any nicotine it heightens the symptoms. Any other smokers here have this and have you found that smoking makes it worse/better? In general, have you found anything that relieves it?

With all due respect Health is not something I find most Americans are willing to put the time and effort into.

But, thanks to the vast wealth of information online, it makes it so easy now to learn and improve one’s life.

My father told me once long ago, that if you want True Health, you have to take matters into your own hands.

No disrespect to MD Doctors, but most, no very little about Health & Nutrition, they prescribe drugs, and if you’re not dying, and you haven’t reached the point of no return, then you probably don’t need drugs.

Look up Andrew Weil, as one perspective, he has a good approach to Health. He said in the past; Drugs are a prescribed dosage of poison, increase the dosage and they are deadly.

And, giving the body the right conditions, as long as it’s not broken, has the ability to heal itself!

If I need to see an MD, and they want to prescribe drugs, I ask, what’s the worst case scenario if I don’t take them, and I ask if the Dr. knows any natural alternatives.

Once I know a Doctors diagnosis, I then look for natural solutions, whether that be Western, Chinese, Ayurvedic, etc...

Now, what are you waiting for? LOL 😆

Get online and Google;

natural ways to get rid of globus sensation ;)

P.S. Bottom Line: If you are going to ask people for advice on health, ask a MD, Naturopath, Chinese Dr., Ayurvedic Dr., those that work in the Health Industry MD, or Holistically.

Natural studies, reports, research, etc., in the field of health online from cultures all around the world is extremely vast.

Instead of downsizing the Globus sensation with drugs you may try to make friend with it. Maybe it can tell you something deep in a more so holistic approach. As mentioned before it’s related to the vagus, connected to anger and anxiety. Try to get aware of the situation or feelings in which the sensation appears. Stay connected to those feelings.
