Ah, not bad, but there's more, no? I have no problem with tamping down as he shows, though I use just one thumbkin.
Maybe I've been poo-poohing the wrong thing! I thought there was an anal approach to measuring, loading and tamping in several stages.

Yes, just one of the problems in trying to be precise!

The Frank method is fine until you learn the far superior Logs Method. Tobacco is shoveled into the bowl until you have as much as you feel like smoking and then you light it on fire with a Bic lighter and carry on with whatever you happen to be doing.
