I recently acquired a rather large box of these old toys, and thought it might bring about some nostalgia for some of you. They were sold between 1976 and 1984. The Wikipedia link was very brief:

Fisher Price Adventure People

So I did some more digging, and turns out there is a whole world of collectors for these things:

Adventure People Collectors Club

Here are some shots of my finds. Do these bring back any memories to anyone?

My generation was He-Man. For some reason they thought to prepare us for the future of gender ambiguity with bad ass cartoon who's very name was a double masculine! That and GI Joe where there was shit ton's of shooting but no one ever seemed to get hit.

I used to love these sets. I had the parachute and the second set with the tent and I had a camper too. I have a friend that collects them and he’s got some rare cool ones.

Between 1976 and 1984 I was busy grabbing for something else.

My Fisher Price frame of reference starts about ‘92 when our oldest was born. “Little People” and a farm - wife still has ‘em somewhere in the house.

We cleared out our basement this summer, from all the Fisher Price toys my two grown girls didn't want. We sold most on Ebay, primiarly Little People sets, some went for over $100 per set (from the mid 1980's). Who knew!?? We almost tossed them.

I do remember them. But once I left Korea, childhood sorta stopped. It was drinking, smoking and chasing girls from 12 and on. Oh, playing with friend's parents car at night joy riding too.

Oh yeah, I remember these. I had a few, and so did my neighbor with whom I played. And I remember the commercials too.
ah, the 70's.

Nice! Thanks for posting the old ad

Kind of like old pipes. How many nice old pieces got tossed just because it was thought they were worthless?
