I have an open cart at Smokingpipes, and I add blends to it that I'd like to try, and some favorites. I just added to it now, and if I were to check out now, and buy it all, it would probably dwarf my real cellar.

Does anyone else have an open cart or am I the weirdo here?

Have I found the answer for TAD? Simply adding to a cart without actually purchasing anything? If only there was a way to enjoy the blends that way as well 👎

I do the same but with the wishlist feature rather than having them in my cart. The reason is I’m not yet ready to buy those tins as I have too many open right now but I might buy a pipe. So rather than clearing out the cart when I’m buying the pipe or whatever, I can just leave them in the wishlist until I’m ready to buy them.

I keep an ongoing wish list on many sites that I curate as needed when the urge strikes. It’s always changing with my tastes. It keeps me organized and I do believe it takes the urge to buy away. I’m very frugal though and generally agonize over purchases anyway.

I use the wishlist for pipes I own in order to maintain the dimensions.

I was using emails to track tobacco orders, but just cleared out emails dating to 2007. The larger sites have order histories so there is still some record.

My cart is changed probably 10 times a day. I see one pipe, gotta have it. 5 minutes later, what was I thinking? That's ugly. Then back on the forum for a different style of pipe I needed. Added to cart. Then another pipe I need, and the other one goes to the wishlist. Then that pipes taken out, and switched with another one..... Etc etc.

But the tobacco is always the same. I only buy what I know I like in tobacco these days.

Absolutely. Cart and Wishlist.
Sometimes I keep blends and/or pipes in there as padding. Meaning, if I get a notification that something I want becomes available, but quantity limitations fall below the free shipping threshold, then I'll move a few things from Wishlist to cart and pull the trigger.

Yep, my SP cart always has about $100 worth of stuff in it. Between orders, I’ll exchange items with my absurdly-long wish list, until I’m ready to pull the trigger again. I don’t even want to know how many DSM-5-TR conditions this meets.
