Anyone Else Snag Some C&D Beast?

If not, I was able to find some over at tobaccopipes.com. I saw the email notification popped at midnight, broke my ankle getting to smokingpipes only to find it gone already. Looks like something right up my alley, so I bought 2 tins. Seems very strong with a strong taste and great aroma, all things I look for in a tobacco most of the time. I'll see when it comes and do my usual, lately. Stick one tin back for a bit and pop one the day it arrives. Looking forward to this one a lot.

I was about to place an order earlier this week, but when I saw this blend was getting released today I held off so I could snag a few tins. It sounded intriguing enough, and I’m kind of a sucker for “limited edition” blends.

I figure even if I don’t like it I’ll have a few tins to trade or sell down the road.

It sold out already at Smoking Pipes? Are we sure it just hadn't gone up for sale yet? I don't know about their tobacco sales but their site updates usually come a bit later in the day, no?

The guy at my local B&M said he'll open a tin for us to try later. If I like it, I'll get a tin. I am very reluctant given the insane Perique content. I like strong (in nicotine) blends, but when Perique gets above a condimental level, I get intimidated.

Jesus. For all the wonderful things about SP, their consistent out-of-stockyness is an issue for me. A victim of their own success, I reckon, but frustrating for those of us who don't want to treat pipes and tobacco like cattle futures or something.

This was a 2500 tin limited run and it was shared among other dealers so it went fast. Dropped at midnight EST. Check other vendors.

This is one of those rare times my insomnia gave me a leg up! I got some to try and some to cellar. Then I figured that, since I’m placing an order, I’ll grab some other tobaccos. This, of course, led me to another site where I bought still more tobaccos, culminating at the natural endpoint in these situations:

I put some in my SP shopping cart, got called away for about 15 minutes, and when I got back they were out. Got a couple of tins over at TP. TP’s tobacco is more, but their shipping is less. Still more expensive, though, but when it’s your only option...
