Sunny Cornwall, UK.
I once had a 1970's Honda 750 F1 that the previous owner had modded. 860 big bore, Wiseco pistons, high lift quick shut cam, CB900 forks...the whole caboodle. It went like stink in a straight line but became jelly around the corners. One very scary bike 8O
My favourite Jap bike was a Yamaha XS650 twin.
Regards,
Jay.

Started on an old Shovelhead. Been through the new Twin Cams. Now I went back to an old Evo FLTC Tour Glide. Keep the shiny side job, Brothers!

I was selling my bike 16 years ago when I married.

And now, after 16 years, desire rose again and I bought a Yamaha MT 07 (FZ 07 in U.S.A.) and I have fun like a dude!

Just a picture of a friend. First person I ever rode with back in '73. He didn't even smoke a pipe. But he passed away a week ago. I miss ya Jackie.

I've owned 2 street bikes in my life.
In the Army at Ft. Ord in the mid 90's I had a GSXR 750, Stage III kit, full pipe, almost died many times on HWY 1 and wouldn't trade those memories for anything... except the memory of coming out of a small bay at about 95 mph and looking in the mirrors and seeing CHP headlights on a Cop SUV 6 inches off my rear tire. That one I could do without. Never fear tho. I was running 3rd and they were all out to get our lead rider anyway, so I didn't go to jail!
Next up is my baby:

unlike my real children, my poor Harley has fallen into disrepair. Some wiring issue somewhere. It sits about 4th on the project list, but she will ride again!

I owned a KZ 750 back in the 80s. Loved that bike. For 18 months, though, it was my only form of transportation and I was a newspaper reporter covering a pretty large area. Everything changes about your relationship to a bike when you HAVE to ride it.
I miss having a motorcycle these days and I think it is something I'll own again. My lovely bride has enjoyed riding pillion in the past (although I had gotten rid of my bike by the time we met) so perhaps we'll find something comfy and eat some miles together.

They were my daily transportation for 20 years. I have done 3 cross country solo trips on BMWs. Other bikes included a 1964 Norton Scrambler and a 1978 Yamaha 1100. Too old to ride now and no longer licensed.

I've ridden motorcycles most of my life. I currently own two; a '98 HD Road King Classic and a 1970 HD Ironhead that I'm rebuilding.
Here's my Road King:

Here's what the Ironhead looked like before it exploded into a million pieces in my garage:

And, here it is currently minus the ape hangers:

I'm completely rebuilding the motor. I'm ordering new main bearings tomorrow and then I can start reassembling the lower. I had to replace the cylinders because they couldn't be bored again. I also rebuilt the heads and had them ported and polished. Here's the cracked cases:

My dad had a '54 panhead with suicide clutch. He occasionally did rides with the Gypsy Jokers in the mid to late 60's. Socially, not business.
I think my brother ended up with all the pics of that bike. I will have to dig around.
