Sumus, it's not a terrible question. I have a friend who puts pounds and pounds of vacuum sealed tobaccos into his deepfreeze, and he's been doing this for decades. He also keep cartons (or boxes of cartons) of cigarettes in there also. He swears by it. I don't because, well, I have already filled the deep freeze with food. But, I don't think frozen tobacco benefits from age at all. It probably does get freezer burn, but he still seems to get his vitamin N from it. If you just want to store some tobacco without it aging, and if your not picky about flavor, then sure, do it. But, we tend to attract more discriminating palates to the forums. :puffy:

Neither should coffee beans go in the freezer, at least according to Alfred Peet, the Greg Pease of coffee in N. California. May Mr. Peet r.i.p..
Frank- Your questions are not close to stupid.

I contacted smokingpipes.com, they said is in fact plume. The tins are a patch from 2012.

Yeah, well, everyone else does.
I contacted smokingpipes.com, they said is in fact plume.
Even though they no idea what "plume" is?

If you'd like to send me a very small sample of the stuff, I'd love to look at it under the microscope.

That's generous of you Woodsroad. I would be very interested what is revealed when it is exposed under the microscope.

There was this recent thread with a tobacco of a similar appearance. Maybe they could be included in your offer?

Since the city flooded, everything is covered in mold and everyone has permanent sinus infections.
But remember, mold on tobacco is fuzzy, where plume kind of gleams...
