Like most of us here, I can't wait to try new tobaccos. My problem is that I like all kinds and am very over-stocked on tobacco. I'mm 60 years old and will probably have to live to be 100 to smoke it all up. I have a very understanding wife but her patience is wearing thin. By the way, most of my tobacco is in bulk canning jars, not tins, so it's harder to sell or trade. Anyone else run into this?

I'm in somewhat the same boat. I have way too many blends open because I always want to try new tobaccos (and with few exceptions, I quite like them all). Its a nice problem to have because I can literally choose from over 50 tobaccos to smoke at any given time and compare/contrast etc. I have decided that I have to empty two tins before I can open one new one. Its killing me but I have to stop before I end up with a hundred different open tins/jars slowly drying before I can finish them. Now I'm stocking up on the ones that I really have a fondness for and want to stock pile. I have a about 5 tins that I am dying to try but....

I'm in this boat too, and I keep ordering more tins. To be honest I'm stockpiling now in case it gets more difficult later to order up to Canada.

I have the opposite right now  very hard times these last 5 years have depleted my stock to a bare minimum... im down to (including the second part of my tad order that just arrived yesterday) about 8 new tins and a few canning jars filled to various degrees.
hopefully by the end of next year I can be somewhat back to normal :)
oh and smokey... who's to say you wont live until your 100? so all this is just stocking up for when you hit your old age :D

I'm in the same boat as you, Smokey. The problem is, I'm a tobacco whore. I'll buy one tin, fall in love with the stuff, buy a pound on the next order, and pack it into Mason jars. I think I'm better stocked than most B&M's -- at least with respect to variety. I think I have more than I can smoke in my remaining lifetime -- and I don't even smoke Latakias and aromatics! But at least I don't have your problem with the significant other. Mrs. Cortez, aka Shoe Lady, has no room to talk!

I don't think I have too much tobacco, I do have a problem with having too many open blends though. I do like variety so it's not a huge problem, just seems like it takes forever to get through all the opens

My problem is I hardly ever finish tins lol. I have my go-to bulk blends and now I just pick up a tin or two a month to sample. I'm very close to finishing off Town Topic though. Smoked a bowl of it every morning on my way to work and I think that's how I've gotten a few bowls from emptying the tin.

Don't know if I would call it a problem! I, too, have jars of tobaccos that I will probably never smoke, because I want to try every new blend that comes out. But it never hurts to have more than you need, especially in today's political climate. Buy it while you can!

Im a young guy but have been stocking up because prices and taxes arent going down anytime soon. Regardless of your political views, its the truth. Buy now, age and smoke later. As far as selling or trading, you wouldnt have a problem i dont think. List it on here for a trade, and put it in a baggy and box it up and send it out. When i get sizeabke amounts in trades they go straight into the mason jar anyways.

Ha! Pikers! I'm busy narrowing down my selections for my Top 100 for the cellar, which will strand the other 900 on hand. But I am on a diet: emptying one tin before opening another, but maybe I should do what morton does, going for a 2 for one or maybe a 3 for one.

I also am stocking up on as much as I can. I have them in mason jars. Plus I think you can never have too much tobacco.

I have a bunch of small samples and small amounts of bulk. All in all there are about 30 jars in my cabinet and I have been "discouraged" from buying more until a lot of that is gone.

I don't smoke often enough to buy lbs of anything. I always have a rediculous number of open tobaccos on the go. I smoke an average of a bowl a day at the best of times. I constantly open new tins because of my curiosity. If something really grabs me I will get a few tins of it so that I always have it on hand, but that's as far as my cellaring goes.

IMHO, it is a nice problem to have. I wish I had more in stock, but right now I have to watch my funds. If I bought no more, I probably have 1 month worth of stock on hand (and I usually only smoke 2-3 bowls a day).
