Anyone else have a MR BROG?

Did you get a pearwood or one of the briars? I've been looking at a churchwarden but was curious as to how it smokes, I have smoked hickory and cherrywood pipes but never pearwood.

I have a Mr. Brog pearwood Old Army, it has 2 small burns on the inside of either side of the bowl but that might have been my fault for smoking it fast but overall it is a great pipe, especially for $25. The first couple bowls have a kind of fruity-metallic flavor but after that it is great. It is my new go-to truck pipe.

Mine is pear wood, the top of the bowl burns quite easily, but who cares, gives it character, yeah, go for the pear wood, maybe first five bowls have a taste, not an unpleasant one, but that shouldnt be a hinder, ive had briars that taste like garbage for the first 25 bowls
