Bags are shit, glass jars work well as do some larger jars with silicone seals. I have seen the red gaskets on glass jars disintegrate after a dozen years or so. Silicone seals never fail.
The bulk of the tobacco is in jars. This is my rotation stash, very short term storage, it gets smoked daily. I agree, I would never store long term in a bag.

For what looks to be very small quantities of numerous blends, decent bags are a fine way to go.

Jars for opening full tins or bulk, for sure. So for two ounces or more, jars. Less than an ounce, bags. In between— a real conundrum! :)
Yes, I have a small conundrum sometimes! Normally less than an ounce for smoking only in the bags.

off topic. I just realized you comment like a childrens book writer. Short clear and too the point and no use of overly flower descriptions. It's not a big deal but once it jumps out at you it sticks.
Haha! It is not intentional!

When asked about the most difficult part of writing for children my answer is:

You have 32 pages to introduce the characters of a story, create a problem, a resolution and an ending. It all has to make sense, flow naturally and be 500 words or less. To be exact 475 words is the sweet spot. What editor came up with 475 words? Who can say, but you have no room for fluff.

It is a natural thought process for me to take 3 words and replace it with one. ?

I just keep my rotation to five tobaccos max. Lately, it’s been just three. My strongest end of the day strong blend, I don’t carry with me. But, I use several small square or rectangle tins to put my carry in. They fit in the inner breast pocket of a sports coat, or a front pants pocket, or in my pipe bag easily. I just grab a fistful out of my jar or larger round tin and put it in the smaller squarish tin.
I don’t need them, nor want them to be airtight. Those small esoterica tins, or a small square OGS tin works best, but I have a selection of Capstan and MacB’s small squarish ones I use also.

Those plastic bags just look like contraband, IMO.

Why so many blends? I like to flip back and forth between two or three blends in six to twelve pipes during the day, But, how many are you smoking in a day?

nope but our brains follow patterns. Trust me though you writing like this on this forum isn't as troubling or as awesome as having a hot date with someone who works in a daycare. It makes for some of the weirdest dirty talk.

I probably smoke 3-4 of them every day. A few are a couple bowls a week and a handful I smoke on occasion. Those need to go in jars really.

I totally agree they look like contraband, I don't smoke away from home but on rare occasions. Like you maybe twelve bowls a day.

CVault canisters with Boveda packs here mostly. I have a 4-liter one that’s currently entombing a bunch of Drew Estate Kentucky fried dog rockets until I either work up the courage to try them again or find them a new home. I have a few 2-liters that hold half a pound of Stokkebye bulk tobaccos each. I have a number of medium and large CVaults that hold about 4 ounces of bulk tobacco, I use those for my daily rotation and refill them every once in a while from the bigger containers. I also have a bunch of 1 oz screw top aluminum tins for Tinder Box potpourri blends.

I’ve got a couple of big Mason type sealed glass jars as well, but prefer the CVaults.

I also have this "bag issuse" with about 4 decent sized boxes full of 1-2oz samples. Most of them I jarred up half for the Cellar for later use.the glass jars are not user fri3ndly for on the go smoking and can easily keep a few blends/bags in pocket while oot n aboot.

Most of us like to dry tobacco out a bit before smoking and so far have not had any issues with them being too dry, actually it seems to help a bit as they do loose a bit of moisture over time making them easier to smoke (aros especially) as I prefer tobacco on the drier side like D&R blends.

The shuffling thru bags can be a pain sometimes if looking for a particular blend, but sometimes I find one i haven't had in a while and it is like a re-discovery of sorts. The small labels on the top of zip lock is a gr3at idea and may decide to try this some day.

I guess I don't have as much tobacco as most of you. I keep everything, from daily use to long time cellaring, in small airtight jars. I found that it beats having a million different type of storage devices around the house. Just all the jars that look exactly the same in one closet. My long term jars are not within arms reach and have a sticker that tells me what blend it is, the date it was cellared and "LTS" for long term storage and the daily use ones don't have the LTS on them.
