Well....as part of the after midnight club tonight...I have to say it got to me...TAD in full force...just placed my $100+ order on P&C to save on shipping...this now goes along with the previously mentioned $50 order from Boswells earlier today....
Ordered up a tin of the Gettysburg along with plenty of other goodies...I will certainly be stocked up after next week....

You da man, VDub. I was holding out for Fusilier's Ration, but a fellow Blackblood came through and said he'd mail me a sample so I went crazy.

I'm glad I could help you guys find some cheap blends! Plus they are offered by a sponsor. Probably the best marketing I could give a company like that!

All H&H 8 oz tins are still $14.95 and LA Red is back in stock. The Brigadiers are the same price. Great deal for me since a 2oz tin is $15 at my local B&M.

Thats why I was wanting to jump all over that H&H 8oz tin...been trying to find some Dan's Sweet Vanilla Honeydew to try but can't seem to round up a 50g tin to try it.
Heard good things but didn't want to spend $40 to grab the 8oz just to give it a shot...Guess that will remain on the top of my list.
Great sponser and great prices right now on both the new Brigadiers and H&H 8oz tins....

I probably wouldn't like the peach one if it is a little overwhelming but I would love to hear some reviews of everyone's first impressions of the blends. That would make this a killer thread.

I got my Bull Run and my Alamo today. I am excited about these. Popped open the cans and the tobacco is a beautiful ribbon cut of black and brown, and the blends are not overly moist at all and they smell fantastic. Probably gonna be a couple of days before I get around to trying them but I am looking forward to it. I have a feeling these are gonna be great!

Mine is supposed to be here tomorrow. When I hear the dogs go into full charge, I'll know the UPS man is walking to the door.

Can't wait to hear your thought on the Alamo. I bought a tin that was on sale but don't want to open until I finish some of the others I have going right now.

I posted this on tobaccoreviews.com

I tried this in an Altinok meerschaum to ensure a clean test. BR has a pleasant smell in the package and had a good moisture level - neither too wet nor too dry. It packed well. The charring light was easy and the first taste was pleasant and mild with no particular flavour noted. There's lots of white smoke! As I get into the bowl I note that it's very cool burning with no bite even when pushed. This is a light aromatic with a hint of vanilla, but very subtle. It's an excellent tobacco, if a bit one-dimensional. That's not a problem for me, particularly if I'm busy and don't want to focus on just the pipe. Snorking brings out the vanilla a bit more but it's still very subtle, at least to me. The room note is reported as very pleasant. All-in-all a first rate smoke able to hold its own with the finest aromatics I've tried, and it's excellent value for the money!
