I've heard good things about Jeantet, like y'know you'll sometimes read a question to a high-grade collector asking if those pricey pipes really smoke better than anything else, and a few will say "they smoke about the same as my Stanwells" --- well, I've read of a couple of the European high-end collectors say "well, they smoke about the same as my Jeantets"...
But Chacom closed the Jeantet plant when they bought 'em out in 1989 and now I think Jeantet is regarded as a Chacom 2nd,
here's a Chacom Maya,

I kinda dig that stem, at least the way it looks in pix, pretty damn neat I'd say!
This is the cartoon bumblebee that the Maya design is based on :P

And just looking around for a minute, trying to find info in French, led me to see this amazing white blasted Jeantet that I think is cool as all get out, wonder if that's paint or what? I think it looks cool!

Sadly, I know next to nothing about French pipes.
