As is usually the case. Takes time to learn their personality.Sounds to me like the problem is more one of technique than the pipes.

Small pipeSo I looked at one. Looks like on a B10 Calabash a diameter of .80 and depth of 1.69? Another the same width and 1.58 depth.
Just trying to get the context of what your view of a small bowl is. .75 seems so common I was thinking it was average or “standard” so trying to get educated. The pipes I have with slightly larger bowls seem easier to pack but the pipes themselves aren’t really larger.
I will agree that it is probabley operator error rather than the pipe.
I remember them being called “titty” . A girl I knew referred to them as “the twins “.Wise words Hiawatha! Lol

How much bigger are the chambers in the larger pipes, if they are?
I am trying to reach a stage where I can do the techniques almost automatically without thinking about it and just sit back and enjoy the smoke. With my big pipes, i can se real progress - fewer relights, less tongue bite, etc. Smaller pipes, being smaller, with less room for error, seem to make the small details more critical. I will keep the small pipes and press on. I really love these little pipes.Bingo. Unlike cigars, often in piping it's just a technique issue.

Was curious about the larger pipes, no matter.the b10 has a chamber diameter /depth of .80X 1.43. The small calabash is .60x1.28. I think it's just a matter of the larger pipes hacve more room for air circulation, where the smaller ones don't. I as someone else just po
seted, it is probably just a matter of adjusting the technique to fit the smaller pipes.
