Over twenty years ago I was a big cigar smoker. The blend that showed me how great a pipe could taste was EScudo. It had a full flavor and spice that I was looking for and I was off and running from there.
I tried blends with cigar leaf but those didn't work for me. As far a a high nicotine blend, Peterson Irish flake made my cravings for nicotine go away fairly quickly.

I started with pipe smoking to quit roll-ups too. The longest period without a cig was one year. I believe the main problem is not the nicotine but the nastiest highly addictive additives hidden in a rolling tobacco or cigarettes. When the addiction kicks in nothing helps, you have to stand behind your decision to resist. The need for cigs strikes hard but when ignored completely it passes. It comes back but with time it becomes weaker.
In the meantime you can explore the wide world of pipe tobaccos for which we pretend we're not addicted to. ??
Good luck!
Thanks for the good wishes and congrats to you too on the year away from them! I’ve cut down quite a bit over the last week - slowly getting there but to really kick it I might just bit the bullet and bin the hand rolling stuff.

Thank you! I’ll take a look at those this afternoon. ? the 1792 flake is doing well for the nicotine. It’s about 5 years old and rehydrated with rum. I personally really like it, but it’s not an empty stomach morning smoke :ROFLMAO:
