Between the gym and daily driving I listen to a lot of audio books and podcasts. I mostly listen to narrative (horror/mystery) podcasts, but also listen to stuff like Last Podcast on the Left and Bloody Good Horror.

As for narrative stuff, current faves are Video Palace, Magnus Archives, and Borrasca. What are you listening to?

Lately, I've been listening to The Prancing Pony Podcast. They go chapter by chapter through Tolkien's books. So I'll read a chapter and then listen to them. It's never taken me so long to get through those books, but I'm hooked on thier show and it's been worth it.
Interesting! I listened to a similar podcast a few years back that did this with Dune, but I don't remember the name of that one.

If you're a fan of Tolkien, I'd highly recommend it. They start out with The Silmarrilion, and then The Hobbit, into The Lord Of The Rings, touching on other bits of his work here and there. Most episodes are between an hour to an hour and a half, sometime taking three episodes in thier discussion of a chapter. You learn a lot about Tolkien's writings, and how he built the world of Middle Earth. And the hosts are great, especially once they begin to become comfortable doing a podcast.

There are several that I listen to off and on. I find Gold, Goats and Guns to be consistently interesting...just got done with the most recent episode in fact.

This one isn't really a podcast, but I found it on Spotify while looking for another podcast. The old radio show, The Shadow is on there. I listened to an episode from 1937 while having a pipe earlier. Kickin' it old school lol!
