I have a small Nording Bulldog, that I quite like. I don't much care for his freehand designs, however, I've been tempted by several of the Hunting series pipes -- not enough the pull the trigger though.

I have a bent brandy marked "SON," which marks his pipes from the 60s -- a combination of the names Skovbo and Nording. Skovbo pulled out almost immediately, and Nording continued with the “SON” name for only a couple years in the early/mid 60s before switching to his own name.

I love mine. One of my sons gave it to me.

His freehands have a distinctive chunkiness to them that reminds me of Boswell's. I think of Erik and J.M. as the Danish and American counterparts to each other.

I don`t like the chunkiness of many Nordings. It's just my opinion. My danish pipes are 1 Stanwell, 1 BayDenmark and 1 Former.

Although I sold a couple recently, I had a bunch of the Hunter Series.

I will not part with my '98 and '99s. The 99 is called The Quail. I thought the '98 was called The Beaver -- but on the website linked above it's called The Weaver. Yet the insert that's included with each pipe still calls it out as a beaver. Go figure.
