My in-laws were terrific ballroom dancers. Here in Hagerstown, we have "Pen-Mar" park, an open-air dance floor complete with a pipe organ. Every Sunday, in summer they host a dance. I've taken ballroom dancing twice, at out local junior college. It just didn't take for me. I was raised a Southern Baptist, where dancing was seen as a sin. I guess someone will have to beat the Baptist out of me to dance. Lots of walkers and canes, but when the music starts, a old couple will literally run you over if you can't keep up.

Pen Mar was a resort, in the late 19th century, a two-hour train ride from DC to the mountains of Western MD. They had a few hotels there as well, sort of like the The Overlook in The Shining.

Cheers jay👍
Don’t suppose ‘Ska’ has hit Cornwall yet, has it? Last time I was down there, everyone was still doing the ‘Floral Dance’.
What is this Ska you speak of? Is it an ailment that should be avoided?

As for the Flora Dance, it's basically the whole town of Helston getting wrecked on the Blue Anchor Spingo....happy dayz :col:

Regards,

Jay.
