Any Calabash Experts Out There?

I did do the alcohol swirl, but nothing drastic happened so ill leave it at that. I guess I dont know it is pioneer for sure, but thats what my friend who gave it to me said. He bought it in 72 I believe

Well, I'm at a loss to explain how it could be a Pioneer with a block Meerschaum.

But what the heck? Enjoy! A calabash is a great pipe. BTW, the gourd will color-up nicer and quicker than the cup!

I'm with you on this one cortezattic... I've never seen a Block Meerschaum bowl in a Pioneer Gourd Calabash. The one I purchased back in the day cost $25 and came in a plastic bag with a pasteboard top, complete with a hole in to to hang for display on a pegboard hook.
