Warped - Midsommar. Had nothing to do with nicotine, I think I'll chalk it up to body chemistry. So, there I was, one morning cruising at about 75-80 mph on my way to work while puffing away on some Midsommar (1st bowl) when halfway through the bowl I find myself dry heaving, gagging (with tears in my eyes). and ultimately puking into a car trash bag while steering and trying to stay on the road. I haven't touched it since...it's been sitting in the back of a dark cabinet beckoning me. I remember opening it and burying my nose in the tin and thinking that it kind of smelled like Sun Bear Tupelo (sweet), but the smell didn't translate to taste. Shivers 🥶🥶🥶 Screenshot_20231219-211038~2.pngKIMG2958.JPG

1792 Flake I thought I was going to puke. Also brown twist made feel like the room was spinning the first time I smoked it. To much nicotine and I get sick.

Two of my favorite blends. But I have had 1792 sneak up on me while drinking Guinness and cause me to take a 15 min. nap 😴

What's funny, is that my favorite blend today Pegasus, used to get me queasy after two bowls. Hated it for the first year 😂 now I can't get enough of it

Haunted Bookshop. I don't like most of the C&D I've had, so that may play into it. I like Burley and I like Perique and don't mind a heavy hand of either. I love Red Virginias, but not from C&D (way too vegetal and "raggy" tasting). Maybe it's the VA, but I bought a tin, try it from time to time, and am planning on dumping the remainder into the next bon fire we have.

The story of my first bowl was that I watched It Happened One Night and got interested in the pipe, so I ordered a no-name pipe from Amazon. I bought some Captain Black in a pouch from Walgreens (who knows how old that stuff might have been) and went to the back porch over lunch.

A short while after having a bowl of it, maybe within an hour, I felt sick. I ended up being down for a couple of days with who-knows-what. It could have just been coincidence of course, but I threw the stuff out with the pipe and I haven't touched Captain Black since. Never had a problem with a decent pipe and other tobaccos though.

Over the years I know I’ve been nic’d out more than once but I don’t recall which blends did it. Most recently I felt a little light headed when I arrived at work after smoking C&D Burley Flake #1 on an empty stomach. Had some food and was right as rain in about 15 mins.

I’ve never been made to feel sick or uncomfortable in any way simply from pipe tobacco flavor, only from that dastardly nicotine molecule.
