Major score today in an antique store where I have often had luck. A Peterson Sport #4 with a P-lip for the sum of.....$10.00.
Little work on the buffing wheel, little bees wax, looks brand new. Very happy with this pipe great for work when you need a quick smoke!

I have purchased several GBDs, Savinellis, Ben Wades, and a Wiley from this guy, and the most I paid was $40.00 for the Wiley. The rest were all less than $20.00. Most of the GBDs were prehistorics that cost around$20.00 when brand new in the 60's.... Pretty neat. I love that vintage of english briar.

dang good score mate, i have aquired 11 pipes so far in last 3 months at antique stores, they r great places. I wish i woulda been collecting this summer past. We have very few antique shops here but in the summer there r huge yard sales with 50+ tables. I anticipate a huge summer coming up.

Henry Clay is the name of the Masonic Lodge that I am a past master. He is well known in my town for traveling through here on his way to and from Washington. I live in Virginia on the historic Wilderness Road, the only wagon trail to Kentucky from the east.

Well, that is a good screen name for you! I used to really enjoy Henry Clay cigars, which are somewhat hard to find now (awful looking, but smoke wonderfully at what used to be decent prices)

Makes me wonder if any of the shops on Antique Row here in Victoria might be hiding estate pipes. Considering my office is on the same street, I have no excuse not to go looking. :)
Congrats on the find!
