Great pictures! I climbed Halfdome about 3 weeks ago, boy was that a tough one: 17.5 miles round trip with a 4000 ft elevation gain. Those waterfall shots look great, was that along the Mist Trail?
Ruger: it's Bridal Veil falls. Half Dome is an awesome experience. I've done it a couple of times. Once during my John Muir Trail trip. Now that was a tough one!
Wow! The fifth and eighth are just great IMO; they're all great actually, but those just drew me to them.
All were with an iPhone? You just proved true that "it ain't the camera, it's the artist behind it."
Eightywon: You are right, Ansel you are not. Good thing because he is dead. Excellent work, especially for a phone. If you want them better I would recommend an Ebony RW810 portable view camera, which takes 8x10" film, the size Adams usually shot.
Always beautiful at Yosemite. Those iPhones sure can take some good pics. I highly recommend going in the winter. In my opinion, it's at its most beautiful and there aren't as many crowds.
Eightywon: Are you from the area? To be able to climb Halfdome a couple of times is truly amazing. With the lottery system for permits you have to be lucky to ever get a permit. Lucky for me, the cables went up a week early this year due to the short winter and lack on snowfall and permits were issued on a first come first serve basis for the first week. Again, great pictures!
Originally from SoCal, recently moved to NorCal, about 2.5 hours from Yosemite. Definitely planning on more frequent trips. This was my first visit in close to 10 years. Back then permits were only required for overnight camping. Anyone who wanted to do Half Dome as a day hike was able to.
