The first line of the article says "droves" of athletes are doing it, then uses the specifics of that one case as an example to illustrate the particulars (presumably for anyone who doesn't know what "OnlyFans" is, or how it works).

The AP isn't what it used to be, but outright tabloid tactics aren't part of their toolkit. (yet, anyway. )
