Don't take offense, forciori - the pipe community is international, but still small. We see people show up with seemingly wonderful or rare stuff and a story about how they found it in their grandfather's attic, and it all turns out to be fake and the person is trying to sell scammy stuff - it happens. So we ask a few questions when someone shows up with ultra rare pipes.
On cigar forums the story is the same but different - "My friend just got back from Cuba, and now I have these 4 boxes of Cohibas for sale...." and they are always fake! So cigar guys get out of joint about Cohibas.
Nobody is accusing you of anything. You are showing good pipes, well done for buying them. You are also showing your own naivety about such pipes - and people like George should be a primary resource for you such that you don't buy fakes or replacement-parts in the future, is my thought.

That's all right. I did not want to participate in forums, it took me a while for maturing the idea. People do not identify appropriately, use random photos in their profiles and their opinion are acid... I understand any distrust. I'm not selling anything, and I have no plans for that. I have some pieces and I wish to know them intimately. I hoped to find enthusiasts to debate about every pipe that I have. That's all! Thank you!

Yang, you own an impressive collection and the pride you have in it is very moving. Thank you for sharing great pictures of your pipes.
However, it is odd to me how someone who describes himself as "new to the hobby", "not an expert" and "here to learn from those who have years of knowledge" can so boldly dismiss the observations of a notoriously knowledgeable person like George Dibos (Georged), one of the top high grade pipe repairmen in the planet, on a subject as elementary as quality of stemwork.
Knowing a lot about the history of Dunhill pipes or owning a lot of Dunhill pipes doesn't automatically makes you someone who knows a lot about pipes - even about Dunhill pipes, apparently. The way such a shoddy replacement stem tricked you is a testament to that fact. I'm nowhere as qualified as George is and even I could have told you that was not an original stem - because when someone who knows what he's talking about talks, I listen.
If you really came here to learn, maybe instead of getting defensive and self-assuredly claiming you "disagree" with the assessment of another member, it would be wiser of you to take this opportunity and ask: "could you please explain your opinion?". You'll get insight into what that person can see that you cannot. You'll learn a lot more that way.
Just my two cents from a fellow Brazilian.

He didn't disagree that the stem is a replacement, but that it looked bad. That's just stubborn.

laniromee: I'd overlooked that comment on my first read of the thread. Apologies.
