Another Retread - All IN

Back in the bowl again! It has been years. I ran across my old faithful Peterson 221 and had to run out and pick up some cavendish for a fishing trip. This got me hooked again! This was a few weeks before turning the big 50 and now with all my BDay scotch, I have over 6 different tobacos on the way as well as 4 more pipes!
Now as long as I get some free time I will try to post back here my findings on all the new in's and out's!

Glad you received some Scotch for your big day. Hope the tradition continues. For MANY years, my wife gave me a nice bottle of fine scotch or cognac for my BD, things I would never have bought for myself. Still have some partial bottles of some very nice stuff in the cabinet for really special occasions. Hope you continue to be so blessed.
BTW, what scotch and what tobacco?

I've recently discovered C&D Tuggle Hall 965, no relation to the Dunhill blend. It's a Cavendish based blend with Latatkia and Perique, and is surprisingly good, nice volume from the Cav, and well proportioned with the condiments, nothing quite like it, and it's sold in bulk.

It is not that I 'like' Peterson over another - it's that my choices are always limited unless I order blind online. :puffpipe: I am ok with the plip, the one I forgot to post, is a Peterson Emerald 221 rustic plip. This one's size makes it my favorite, I will most likely sell of the ones with larger bowls as they are not as comfortable to me as the 221.

Is this normal? I like the looks of the others better, but the fit, they just .... aren't it for me.
