Another " Mold or Crystals" Thread

This is an 8 year old tin of Pelican that I jarred up months ago. I didn't notice this till today. I'm going with crystals, but I gotta say I'm not 100% sure this time. What say you all ?

If it was mold, you would immediately be able to tell by its smell.
It's an unmistakable, extremely unpleasant smell.

If humidor is too humid cigars can easily get white mold. It is quite common. It can be easily wiped of and it does not smell. I am not sure if pipe tobacco can have same kind of mold.
