Annie Kake moisture...

Last night I opened a recently purchased Annie Kake. It was quite moist. I let it sit for the full 24 he in the room with dehumidifier running (set at 55) and it didn't dry much. Tried to smoke it and, boy, did I get a tongue bite. Just wondering if anyone noticed any difference in recent batch of Annie Kake.

I had an similiar issue with it a few years ago.

I have some from 2010. It never seems to fully dry out, but it's pretty great.
If you're getting that much tongue burn, my guess is that you'll have to leave it out a bit longer. And by "a bit," I mean "a lot."

Just nuke it for ten seconds a go, until it feels dry.

Yeh, here in the Amazon... Alabama, my tobacco gets more moist if so leave it out, so the microwave is a smoking accessory.

In my opinion the microwave changes the flavor slightly. Steam and flavors that are circulated through the microwave while its cooking that TV hang around in there. I find a toaster oven works great and its a more... natural heat...

In any event, I don't find that microwaving cooks or steams or changes flavor. YMMV.

It may. Therefor recommended to boil away a pint of dark rum to replace malodorous fumes with nice ones..... Or drink the rum, and fergeddddabouddddit.
