If Warhorse green doesn't have enough anise for your taste, then the only thing more potent in flavor I can think of are Avanti Annisette and Avanti Licorice cigars. The Anisette ones are truly over the top in aromatic flavor. I can't stand them. The Licorice ones are a bit tamer and have a somewhat different flavor profile, more of a mint component to the overall licorice flavor. Try supercharging Mixture 79 with some anisette cigars blended in. Mixture 79 is much tamer today than it was decades ago.

I brush my teeth with an anise-flavored tooth powder. It’s delicious (per me) and effective (per my dentist). I find that it’s very complementary to the tobaccos I smoke, not at all harsh after a pipe like a mint-flavored toothpaste can be.
I like WHG, but it isn’t licorice-y anise to my palate.

Astleys 44 is cased with anise. It isn't very strong, but if you lick your teeth after finishing a bowl, you'll taste it.

I just ordered some Toscano Anis Cheroot's to smoke in this pipe. It has a replacement stem that I hope to get replaced with an amber colored acrylic.
WHG always reminded me of smoking a bottle of Anisette and not in a good way - especially considering it was meant to taste like Condor but somehow swerved off the intended path when the Oompa Loompa's at C.I's blending department got hold of the concept.
If I recall reading correctly, the WHG blend was lighted upon when all involved were a little lit….
I taste it in Velvet, though I believe it's mixed with a second flavor along the lines of molasses/brown sugar.
No it isn't. On Tobacco Reviews it says anise, but STG says they use corriander and cardamom. It certainly smells like a mix of corriander and cardamom.

It has notes of those things but is considered an anise aromatic. It uses anisette as a base topping.

My favorite anise-flavored tobacco is Esoterica Ramsgate. Anise is found in a plethora of tobacco products, including cigarettes.

Or buy a bottle of absinthe (anise liqueur) or Oouzo (Greek version). There are also half a dozen Italian liqueurs that are made from anise.
Might just save a step.
