I see a few of you have experience with the dry Italian cigars. I’ve had exactly one regular Parodi. How do you feel about the flavored ones? Specifically the anise flavored ones? I love War Horse and I feel like these could be the cigar equivalent. Am I on the right track? Any specific brands to try?

Yep, Avanti are decent. They do have a nice anisette flavor which I would not describe as overly strong, but very tasty if you like anise/licorice/fennel flavors.

Extremely strong Anise Flavor. You better like it. They actually dip the wrapper in an anise concentrate. I love them myself.

Avanti Anisette
They don't dip the wrapper. I've watched them make the Avanti anisette cigars. The factory is about an hour from my house. They have the cigars on a slightly downward rack. They stack them on top of each other then use a paint brush and basically paint a Sambuca liquor all over them. They do this like four to five times then let them sit in the hot room until dry. My Italian great grandfather and my uncle smoked these cigars constantly.

The video I watched on Youtube showed them getting dipped into the liquid

And their factory is no longer in the US.
