Lol, I agree with hilojohnny. It IS a surprise this coming out of a college publication. If more people would take up the pipe, we would have a much calmer society.

Will be interesting to see who wins the race: the hysterical anti-smoking "throw the baby out with the bath water" rush to ban all forms, or the thoughtful, reasoned, risk-accepting adopters of pipe smoking.

I'm just going to let go the fact that all persons hate cigarettes, whether they be cig smokers, pipe smokers, non-smokers, snuff users, dippers or chewers or e-cig users -- I'm in a VERY small minority in respecting cigarettes for enjoyment in the manner they were originally intended.
Anyway, great article, hope he joins the club as it were (do we qualify as a club?)
