Amazing Ray, all looks very tasty and the wines would have capped the food off very well. Plenty of humidity about too by the looks of the bottles.
No shortage of good Japanese restaurants in Sydney these days.
Azuma has been around for a long time, but has kept up with the times.
It is still my favourite.

Riesling is my absolute favourite white wine.
I wanted to showcase its versatility with Japanese food.

Yes, the humidity would have been 100%
Almost 2 days of non-stop rain.

Although that's not my kind of food -- and although I rarely drink wine and couldn't begin to evaluate one (and have probably never had one worth more than $20) -- I will say that, to my uneducated palate, riesling and gewurztraminer have long been the favorite whites.
