Whenever I find a new-to-me tobacco that I go apeshit over, I have found the quickest way for me to go un-apeshit over that tobacco is to quickly order two dozen tins of it.
Works every time. 8O

prndl, I ordered a tall mason jar full of Lanes LL-7 just before I figured out that I am mostly a non-aro guy. I still enjoy some aro blends now and then, and recently have a major crush on Royal Yacht, but a while back I shared my entire jar of LL-7 with other vets through a program here on Forums. I guess I might stockpile if it looked like tobacco prices were going to more than double. As moderately as I smoke, I think I could sustain on increased prices, to a point, before I felt I had to fill boxes full of jarred leaf. As it is, I think I have several years or more before I get to some of the sealed tins. For me, roaming through the variety of blends, new and old, has been one of the staple pleasures in life.

It used to be Latakia bomb Balkans or nothing for me, now if it has more than a whisper (think Presbyterian or McConnell Oriental) I'm not interested. For that matter, this summer I have been off pipes and smoking cigars exclusively. The last time I was a 100% cigar man was when was 17, and Ive gone the last 5 years without even smoking one. Moods and tastes can come and go.
This sort of describes myself as well. I have not been able to smoke a Lat blend for over a year. I am also back into cigars again and am enjoying it like crazy. Not giving up the pipe, just branching out a bit.
