Thanks for the pointer George, I've never heard of Cinni fans afore. I see the price is creeping up so likely to hit three figures.
As Paul and Mike above point out, high twenties and upwards for any period of time is regarded as a heatwave in these parts. As for air conditioning, sadly I only have it in the car (and that's not been used since February).
Back to my original question (which seems to have been drowned) I must assume that the constant draught running across the pipe is indeed influencing the taste of the tobacco (negative pressure anyone?). I'm about to settle down to read and have another bowl to see if I can have the same experience again ::
