My very first pipe by a Canadian carver - Julius Vesz
The full bent egg with diamond shank is so reminiscent of some vintage bent billiards

Here it is pictured with a 1884 bent billiard, sterling silver spigot and rim cap, orific bit.

Flipping thru old "The Pipe Collector" newsletters,it appears that he was quite favored back in the early 2000's

My resolve not to buy another pipe before the New Year dissolved as soon as I saw the Vesz.

Beautifully proportioned pipe with a size 4 bowl
And a perfect hanger.
Smoking it as I write this.

I absolutely love the combination of egg bowl with diamond shank. Brilliantly done.

I had a Vesz lovat which smoked wonderfully. I rehomed it only because that particular one was a bit oversized and weighty for my personal preferences. But it was a gorgeous pipe.

Really love the pipe with silver band / nickel ring, whatever they called it. As long as there's some blink on the pipe

I couldn't wait - had a smoke with it yesterday.
I usually am not a clecher, but found it a comfortable "hanger"
Nice draw, smoked dry, no gurgles.
Very happy with it.
