I've always liked the "through shank" designs. I'm having a hard time deciding whether this one reminds me more of an impaled goldfish, or a torso-less man, showing off his "endowment".

I can appreciate and respect the artistic aspect of it. However, I wouldn't pay $400 for it if I had to keep and smoke it myself.
Having witnessed your recent pipe aesthetic and purchases, I suspect money is not the issue.
Okay, found it. The spear is boxwood and the entire composition looks much better when in motion than a static image.
All jokes aside, it looks right up your alley man. Not my kind of composition, but the grain on the bowl is nice, and I do like a sitter when I’m doing something that requires me to put my pipe down intermittently.
Interesting piece of pipe art. I'm not sure about how comfortable it would be to actually smoke but I do think it has certain "coolness" to it.
