An Apt Analogy?

I like the different things you folks have come up with. The folks at my cigar shop say the cigars are like going to a holiday dinner, and the pipe is like making it.
Honestly, I think they're all too stubborn to just learn how to smoke a pipe. They like to set it and forget it, so cigars work for them.

When I smoked cigarettes it was soley for the nic. Cigars are fragile and expensive. My pipes are to some degree for nicotine, but have a quiet perspective that can travel well, is flexible in selection, and less expensive than cigarettes or cigars.
Having said that to each his own. 40 years ago I would have had a different take on it.

To me, one of the good things about growing old is learning many things you were certain you were right about when you were young may have had a shelf life. :wink:
