No, not crunchy-dry. Slightly moist. I left my pouches open over night, and occasionally rotated the tobacco in the pouch to make sure the middle and bottom parts were exposed to more air. Maybe you could try putting a couple of bowls worth in an open baggie and let it sit overnight, and see what happens.

Coyote: when I got the new stuff, I thought it was too wet. I dried it out to make it slightly moist, and as I said much earlier, thought it was very close to what I had been smoking the last few years, and much like what I smoked back in the '70s and '80s, though I think that version was fuller by just a hair. Looks like we agree on the taste consistency of this blend after all, once we work on the tobacco a little. :D

Ok,Jiminks I'll give them a some drying, and will come back to it,this all the same with these Mc Brarens ready rubbed light aromatics-//Symphony-Golden Blend-Scottish mixture//obviously all them need to be dryed and packed a bit lighter than usual, whereas recently when smoked that CH or PA no issues whatsoever and no bite!.Think that Amphora+ these forementioned Americans OTC's may work well to broke in brand new pipes,? While just now got opened a fresh tin of Mc Clellands Samsun Oriental, can tell you right judging from my first puff, what a perfect and pleasant smoke,no bite- no harsh-smooth and round,Its a shame we here in europe havent it available anywhere.Maybe I ought to suggest Mr Hans at Hu Tobaccoes that he would start producing some various sraight Orientals with no Latakia.

Amphora, tried it, yeh, yeh, yeh... then...

Gentlemen, you as more knowledgeable in various tobacco types, how you would consider those my aforementioned Mc barens Basic offerings such as Golden Extra, Scottish Mix and Symphony tobaccos(all of them as you would know are as we say Burley forward blends)are these by your judgement somewhat superior tobaccos to Amphora's basic offering-or wheter shall we consider these Mc Barens equal in quality to Amphoras.tell me more if you please,Paul

I've been enjoying this stuff a lot. For some reason I never tried Amphora back in college in the late 60's and early 70's, when I smoked Sail and Troost and even some Flying Dutchman. My loss.

Never had the Brown. I always smoked the Red. I really wish they'd bring back Troost Slices

Cosmic spotted the "are you paying attention?" token in the original message. Although, if Royal Yacht did have horse urine, I'd be even more partial to horses.
