Amphora Burley comes in rough cut, pretty big pieces that retain a bit of moisture and carry quite a bit of flavor, and moreover, the blend burns surprisingly slowly, like flake, coin, plug, rope. Maybe not quite that slow, but noticeable. Since I like burley, and this version of it, I think it is an above average burley blend.

The Kentucky is pretty great IMO as well!
But yes the burley is awesome! I was very pleased with it as a temporary replacement for PA. I purchased the sampler due to finding out about the world of tobacco thanks to the internet(I’m 24 but hate technology). It was great to learn how to smoke different forms of tobacco as well as taste different blends. The Kentucky and burley were my favorites though of course.

I enjoy Amphora burley quite a bit as well. Definately a slooow burning broken flake, and has a very deep, rich and full flavour and mouthfeel. Great stuff! I have a pouch of amphora Virginia on the way as well. Looking forward to trying it

The sampler is all good IMO. The English, and dark cavendish even. Worth a try if you like the Virginia, Kentucky, and burley!

I believe the blend is actually owned by MacBaren which is why they taste similar to Some of their HH blends? I am a newb so could be wrong
