Amorelli Chicago Slow Smoke Pipe- Pictures

The United Pipe clubs of America made the slow some competition pipe available to members who won't be at the show. I got 9 of these for some of our local club members. $50.00 for an Amorelli is a steal in my book.

Why does it say "kentucky"?

That's Kentucky, Italy. In the southern end of the country.

Uhhh... a cursory Google search reveals no town or municipality in Italy called Kentucky.

What am I missing?

Or maybe it's the shape of the pipe?

My guess is Kentucky is the family of pipes - like Peterson Aran, Savinelli Marte, etc.

Yes, "family", not "shape" as I said. Dread got it right. Amorelli has a whole family of different shapes of the same style.

Beautiful carving. I do not own an Amorelli but it is on my list. Very nice!

Regarding the name, "Kentucky" the reference is: "Amorelli Kentucky pipe is one of our last models. We wanted to re create the famous Kentucky tobacco leaf using an innovative texturing process."

Scrooge, yes; all of the pipes were taken by our club members. The pre-show sale was restricted to member clubs of the United Pipe Clubs of America, of which we are a member.
