I like Latakia blends, but for me they a missing just a tad of sweetness...
Try GL Pease Meridian, Sextant or Lagonda. You will find a nice sweetness to them. I was smoking Meridian last night and it developped some sweetness for about 10 - 20 minutes, starting around mid bowl. It was really good! Lagonda has bright Virginia which is naturally sweet. And Sextant has a rum topping, so it makes it a bit sweet.

Lol. That's the spirit davet. What did you think of it? Go or a No Go?

Smoking it now, a little, 1/8th or less, of Captain Black Red Sky and Peter Stokkebye English Oriental. It's OK, not something I would go out of my way for but compared to other Aros with Latakia its not much different. Maybe with more of a Lat bomb might be a different outcome.

Well... I'm glad you guys tried that. I also like Cherry and English, but I just can't imagine them together.
I did once put some Lane BCA into some HH BlackHouse. It tasted kinda like homemade Frog Morton. Luckily, someone already makes Frog Morton, so I doubt I'll do that again, but it's fun to experiment!
(Thanks again for the Red Sky, davet! I bought a tin, and am still loving it.)

I heard the Drew Estates Cherry Heirloom (I think that is the name) is very good.
But hey, like others have said, you will not know until you try it.
